The 10th edition of the etnies European Skateboard Championships presented by Carhartt ended with an unbelievable final in street with ten amazing skateboarders. One of them was youngster Gard Jenssen Hvaara from Norway, who went all the way from the Junior Champs into the finals and ended on the 9th place. Axel Cruysbergh from Belgium, who you can also see “Eating Cake with” on the etnies Europe site and who was last year’s winner in street and miniramp earned street’s second place. In third came Kilian Heuberger from Germany doing nose bluntslides down the rail and pole jams on the birthday cake-obstacle. This year’s winner is Nassim Guammaz from the Netherlands doing big back 360′s down the double set. Aside from the street finals, the 8000 spectators who came to Basel over the weekend to celebrate ESC’s anniversary with us could witness Phil Zwijsen ruling the mini ramp with nice flow and endless lines, taking a well deserved victory. Also, Freddy Austbo came out to show his face, coming back from a long stint of being sidelined by injuries, taking second place right away, and a surprising Symon Stachon from Poland taking third. Girl’s Jam was won by Ianire Elorriaga from Spain, who had already succeeded getting this title six times in it is ten years of existence. Second place went to Aura Brédat, third to Candy Jacobs from the Netherlands.
